Mechatronics

An English-taught TWIN bachelor's programme combining mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science for intelligent technical systems. It provides broad practice-oriented training for fields such as automotive engineering, robotics, and medical technology.

Academic requirements

Compulsory scholastic aptitude test: TestAS with a minimum of 100 points in each module (Core Test and Subject-Specific Test: Engineering) or SAT (test requires a minimum composite score of 1,050) is required for all non-EU applicants in order to enrol. Secondary education diploma (A level or equivalent). If required: evidence of periods of study or certificates.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.

English requirements

English language proficiency at level B2. THWS accepts, in particular, TOEFL iBT with at least 83 points, IELTS with at least 6.0, Cambridge B2 First minimum grade C, Cambridge C1 Advanced minimum level B2, or UNIcert II.

German requirements

German language skills at level A2 are required. This must be proven by a corresponding certificate within 12 months after the start of the degree programme.

Accepted bachelor fields

Not applicable for a bachelor's programme; admission requires a general higher education entrance qualification or a comparable university entrance qualification from abroad. The official programme page additionally states that non-EU applicants must provide TestAS or SAT unless an official exemption applies.
