International Master of Science in Physics

This English-taught international master's in physics offers advanced study across experimental physics, theoretical physics, mathematics, and laboratory work. It is research-focused and embedded in the faculty's international physics environment.

English proof is required at not less than CEFR B2. The official faculty page lists TOEFL 72 iBT or 550 paper, IELTS 6.0 or better, or Cambridge CAE.

German requirements

German language skills (A2 according CEFR) are recommended to organise daily life.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a bachelor's degree in physics or an equivalent qualification with at least 24 ECTS in experimental physics, 22 ECTS in theoretical physics, 22 ECTS in mathematics, 12 ECTS in physics laboratory courses, 30 further ECTS in physics or physics-related minor subjects, and a thesis worth at least 10 ECTS on a physics-related topic.
