Programme Overview

Prepares engineers for the global energy transition by combining expertise in renewable energy systems with data engineering and analytics. Focuses on power generation, storage, transport, distribution, and management, along with economic, social, and political contexts. Graduates are well prepared for leadership positions globally.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: Willingness to integrate into an international environment; Readiness to attend German language courses
Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.
English requirements: TOEFL 79 and higher (IBT) or IELTS (6.0 or higher in each band)
German requirements: B1 at the time of enrolment (does not apply to native speakers). At the time of application, at least A2 level required.
Accepted bachelor fields: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field
APS Certificate: Yes for applicants from India, China, and Vietnam
Thesis required: Yes

Tuition fee: 1,500 EUR state tuition fee for non-EU citizens; 650 EUR state tuition fee for a second degree (only for EU citizens who already obtained a Master's degree from a German university)
Semester contribution: 150 EUR service contribution, 170 EUR administration fees
