International Leibniz Research School for Microbial and Biomolecular Interactions (ILRS Jena)

ILRS combines microbial natural product research with infection biology, especially around human-pathogenic fungi. Doctoral work spans microbiology, natural product chemistry, biotechnology, immunobiology, bioinformatics, and systems biology, with projects embedded in the Jena microbial-communication research environment.

Academic requirements

A Master's degree or equivalent in one of the subjects addressed by ILRS (e.g. biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical biology, immunology, bioinformatics, biotechnology or related fields) is required. Candidates about to earn their degree are welcome to apply.
