Intercultural Theology (MA)

International MA in Intercultural Theology that explores Christianities in intercultural perspective and prepares students for academic, social, and church-related work in global and cross-cultural contexts.

Academic requirements

Applicants are expected to demonstrate interest and expertise in the academic study of religion and such disciplines as theology, global Christianity and religious studies.

English requirements

As all classes are conducted in English, applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof by TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS Academic 6.0. The programme page also accepts comparable local certificates where TOEFL or IELTS are not available.

German requirements

German language skills do not have to be proven.

Accepted bachelor fields

Bachelor's degree in theology, cultural anthropology, social anthropology, philology, politics, development studies, or a related discipline. Applicants are expected to articulate a clear academic interest in theology or religious studies in the letter of motivation.
