Electrical Systems Engineering

This bilingual bachelor's programme combines electrical engineering fundamentals with practical laboratory work and later specialisation in areas such as power electronics and information technology. The first study phase is taught in English and the advanced phase mainly in German.

Academic requirements

General requirement: an academic qualification that would enable study of the chosen subject in the home country. International applicants without a German university entrance qualification must submit qualifications to the 'Studienkolleg – Center for International Students' in Konstanz for equivalence examination.

English requirements

English at CEFR B2 is required for application to the English-language study phase.

German requirements

Basic level of German language skills (minimum A2, B1 recommended) required at start. Before the beginning of the fifth semester, proof of a minimum of DSH-1, telc B2, or Goethe B2 will be required.

Applicants need a recognised higher education entrance qualification for bachelor's study. Applicants with non-German school-leaving certificates must obtain prior recognition before enrolment.
