Study Preparation Year: Bridge to Studies – On-Campus Track

This preparatory programme is designed to prepare international students for degree study at BTU through intensive German-language training, academic preparation, and social integration. It is offered in one-semester and two-semester variants on campus.

German requirements

For the two-semester preparation year: Goethe Certificate B1 – all four parts need to be passed with level B1, only the following overall results are accepted: very good – good – satisfactory (at least 70/100 points); telc Deutsch B1 (needs to be passed with a minimum of 210 points); ÖSD B1 (written + oral exam passed with at least 70/100 points); DSD I. For the one-semester preparation programme: Goethe Certificate B2 or C1 – each part needs to be passed – we accept the following overall results: very good – good – satisfied (min. 70/100 points); telc Deutsch B2 (passed with a minimum of 210 points); ÖSD B2 (written and oral exam need to be passed, min. 70/100 points); DSH 1; TestDaF TDN 12 to 15, each part needs to be at least TDN 3; DSD II (if not all of the four parts have been passed with level C1).
