Admission Requirements

Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published.
English requirements: Proof of English language skills according to RWTH Aachen University regulations is required at enrolment rather than at application.
German requirements: Although German is not necessary, we strongly advise students to obtain basic knowledge of the language for everyday use. German language courses are offered at the RWTH Language Center.
Accepted bachelor fields: Requires either a geosciences profile such as geosciences, earth sciences, geology, mineralogy, or crystallography, or a materials-science, engineering, chemistry, or physics profile with basic knowledge of crystallography.
