New M.Sc. Computational Mechanical Engineering at TH Nürnberg (first start WS 2026/27), 3 semesters/90 ECTS; German, English or mixed track. No SS 2027 intake is published.

Minimum GPA

Direct admission without interview for 210 ECTS mechanical engineering graduates with an overall grade of 2.7 or better, or a degree in the top 50% of the cohort; otherwise a 20-minute interview (14 of 20 points) plus 2 years of relevant work. Foreign grades use the Bavarian formula.

English requirements

English track: B2 reading (Cambridge CAE C, IELTS 6.0, PTE 65, TOEFL iBT 80); certificates not older than 2 years.

German requirements

English track also needs a German A2 certificate with the application; the German track needs C1.

Accepted bachelor fields

Mechanical engineering bachelor of 210 ECTS or equivalent; 180-209 ECTS need missing ECTS from THN or a 20-week internship; at least 1 year of relevant work experience unless the degree had at least 20 weeks of practice. Non-EU applicants also need TestAS (Core + Engineering, at least 120 points each) or SAT 1050, a motivation letter (2,000 characters, English) and an English CV.
