Data Science

This master's programme combines computer science, statistics, and mathematics for advanced training in data science. It includes analytical, methodological, and application-oriented work and requires a programme-specific statistical report and self-assessment components during application.

Academic requirements

You must do our self assessment test and fill out our self disclosure document. You have to work on the statistic project published on our website and submit a report of 10 pages. Admission is based on the quality of the report.

English requirements

Proof of competencies in English at least at CEFR level B2 is required.

German requirements

German language skills are not required for the programme.

Accepted bachelor fields

Admission requires a bachelor's degree in Data Science from TU Dortmund University or a degree of at least three years in a computer-science-, statistics-, or mathematics-oriented programme. A programme is considered computer-science-, statistics-, or mathematics-oriented if it contains at least 44 ECTS across those three areas, including at least 8 ECTS each in computer science and mathematics and 4 ECTS in statistics.
