Master's in Biochemistry (Molecular Life Sciences or Molecular Oncology)

This two-year, research-oriented MSc in Biochemistry offers two specialisations: Molecular Life Sciences and Molecular Oncology. Selected top students can be offered a fast-track route into a PhD after three semesters.

Academic requirements

Applicants who have not completed their BSc studies at the time of application can be provisionally admitted if they have acquired the minimal number of credits listed above and have acquired a total of 145 ECTS at the time of application.

Minimum GPA

The official application page requires a bachelor's-grade average of 2.5 or better according to the German grading system.

English requirements

The official application page requires proof of English at least at CEFR level B2 by a relevant language certificate. The page notes that an attestation that English was the language of instruction in the bachelor's programme is not sufficient.

German requirements

Basic knowledge of German is recommended but not mandatory.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a documented background in biochemistry and/or molecular biology. The official application page requires the published Area I or Area II credit distribution covering biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, and related life-science subjects.
