Battery Systems Engineering (BSE)

Academic requirements

Relevant work experience of six months by the time of application; GRE General Test (Verbal Reasoning: 145 points | Quantitative Reasoning: 160 points | Analytical Writing: 3 points) or proof of completion of the German Engineering College programme

English requirements

Accepted proofs include TOEFL iBT 90, IELTS 6.0, CAE, FCE with grade B, or the RWTH Language Centre placement test at B2 for enrolled students. Applicants with qualifying degrees from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or the US are exempt.

German requirements

No German language skills are required for admission and enrolment. However, you will have the chance to take German language courses as part of your curriculum at RWTH Aachen University Language Centre.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering with electrical or information-technology focus, materials science, circular economy or raw materials management, computer science, physics, chemistry, or a comparable field.
