Franco-German Master of Arts in Linguistics: Digital, Applied, Structural (LiDAS) / Sciences du Langage (SDL)

Research- and practice-oriented Franco-German double-degree master's in linguistics. Students choosing the LiDAS-SDL option study French as their language focus, spend one or two semesters at the Universite d'Orleans, and earn both the Siegen MA and the French Sciences du Langage degree.

English requirements

Proof of English language skills at level B2 CEFR. The official LiDAS page separately states that applicants must also prove very good knowledge in the chosen language specialisation: C1 for English or French, and B2 for Spanish.

German requirements

German: C1 (for applicants who are starting their studies at the University of Siegen only), proven by at least DSH 2, or TestDaF with at least 4 in all sections of the exam

Accepted bachelor fields

Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a focus on linguistics, or another comparable first professionally qualifying university degree, including teacher-education programmes with a standard duration of at least 6 semesters.
