Programme Overview

Premier programme for exceptional students aiming for careers in international organisations, academia, and leadership in public and private sectors. Offers three specialisation tracks: Economics, Competition and Regulation Economics, and Economic Research.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: A definite decision on eligibility is made during the admissions procedure.
Minimum GPA: 2.5 or better (according to the German grading system)
English requirements: Proof of English proficiency required (TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 6.0, FCE grade C or better, CAE, CPE, or University of Mannheim Language Certificate B2). Application without proof is possible, but proof must be submitted by 15 August.
German requirements: Not required (the programme is taught entirely in English).
Accepted bachelor fields: Bachelor's degree in economics ("Volkswirtschaftslehre") or an equivalent qualification. Degrees from neighbouring fields such as Business Administration, other Social Sciences (Political Science, Sociology), quantitative fields (Mathematics, Engineering), and Humanities can be recognised if minimum requirements are fulfilled.
