China Language and Economy, Master of Arts (MA)

This programme is aimed at graduates in economics or business administration who want to specialise in China. It combines Chinese economy and China studies with language training in Chinese or Japanese and an integrated semester at Peking University.

Minimum GPA

The official application page states that applicants with grade 2.5 or better are directly admitted; applicants who meet the formal requirements but have a lower ranking grade are invited to an interview.

English requirements

The official application page requires English at least at B2 level. Accepted proof includes TOEFL 72 or higher, IELTS 6.0 or higher, Cambridge First Certificate in English, qualifying school-leaving certificates, or equivalent proof from prior education.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or an equivalent field. The official application page also requires at least 25 ECTS in mathematics, statistics, or business informatics; 50 ECTS in economics and business administration with at least 15 ECTS in each; and 5 ECTS related to China's economy or equivalent.
