an above-average Bachelor's, Master's degree (or a degree equivalent to these from a German Fachhochschule); Applicants with a degree from an Indian university have to present a valid GATE score of at least 550 (except graduates from an Indian Institute of Technology). GATE scores will be accepted with papers in either civil engineering (CE), mechanical engineering (ME), engineering sciences (XE) in all combinations of sections except for those including (C) or (G).
