Physics

The Master of Science in Physics programme has a duration of four semesters, comprises 120 credit points, and offers a specialisation into a modern research topic. In the first two semesters, an advanced lab course, advanced theoretical physics or computational physics will be taught. Furthermore, the student selects a special subject. In addition to lectures, the special subject includes a lab course in a working group and a seminar. Additionally, a non-physics course in mathematics, chemistry or business administration is to be chosen. The Master's thesis will be written in a working group involved in one of the three main research areas of the Institute of Physics. The thesis will take two semesters including planning, preparation, and execution.
