Marine Geosciences

International MSc programme in marine geosciences that links current marine research, methods training, and field- and ship-based work with the research profile of the University of Bremen and MARUM.

English requirements

The reviewed official Faculty of Geosciences application page states that applicants need English at CEFR B2 level. The reviewed official University of Bremen language-certificates page lists examples including TOEFL iBT 72-94 or IELTS 5.5-6.5 for B2, and also states that proof can be waived if the university entrance qualification or the last university degree was completed in English.

Accepted bachelor fields

The reviewed official Faculty of Geosciences application page states that applicants need a Bachelor of Science with 180 ECTS in a geoscientific subject. It further states that applicants need at least 30 ECTS in mathematics, physics, chemistry and/or biology, and at least 60 ECTS in geoscientific courses.
