Computational Materials Science (CMS)

The programme educates 'Computational Materials Scientists' who are skilled in programming, simulation techniques, data handling, and analysis for the design, processing, and application of novel high-tech materials. It combines theoretical concepts with cutting-edge research applications and hands-on tutorials in simulation methods like FEM, MD, ML, and phase-field modelling.

German requirements

For non-native speakers: no proof of German language skills is required. (however, we recommend: Goethe Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 or telc Deutsch A1); No further requirements for native speakers

Accepted bachelor fields

A first professionally qualifying university degree of at least six semesters in mechanical engineering, materials science, solid state physics or a comparable degree programme.
