Programme Overview

Integrated bi-national MSc in International Nature Conservation offered jointly by Göttingen and Lincoln University, combining one semester in Göttingen, one semester in New Zealand, an internship semester, and a master's thesis.

Admission Requirements

Academic requirements: personal motivation; previous special experience and expertise in international nature conservation; publications or referee's reports or other documents which highlight the applicant's expertise in the field of international nature conservation
Minimum GPA: No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.
English requirements: Accepted proof includes UNIcert III, NULTE level C1, Cambridge English Scale 180, IELTS Academic 7.0, TOEFL iBT 100 or 95 with at least 25 in speaking, TELC English C1, PTE Academic 76, KMK Foreign Language Certificate at C1, at least two years of study or work in an anglophone country within the last three years, or successful graduation from an anglophone bachelor's programme.

Accepted bachelor fields

Six-semester bachelor's degree in Biology, Biodiversity, Ecology, Forest Sciences, Geography, or an equivalent field, with at least 150 of 180 credits already completed. At least 60 credits must be in Agricultural Sciences, Biodiversity, Biology, Ecology, Forest Sciences, Geography, Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, or similar, and at least 10 credits must be in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and or Informatics.

Tuition fee: €9,800 / semester
Semester contribution: EUR 466.40 for the Göttingen study semester in Summer Semester 2026. For semesters spent abroad, German M.I.N.C. students pay EUR 75 administration fee to Göttingen and international M.I.N.C. students are exempt from Göttingen fees for that semester.
