Sustainable Chemistry

This English-taught research-oriented chemistry master's focuses on designing chemical processes, products, and methods that meet sustainability requirements. It combines taught modules in the first year with research work and the master's thesis in the second year.

Academic requirements

Profile must comply with 'Empfehlungen der GDCh-Studienkommission zum Bachelorstudium Chemie an Universitäten'. Other courses may be accepted case-by-case. Admission may include additional coursework up to 30 CP. Admission may depend on passing an entrance examination.

English requirements

Accepted English proof at GER B2 includes TOEFL iBT at least 80, IELTS academic at least 6, local higher education entrance qualifications from specified English-speaking countries, an English-taught bachelor's degree from specified countries, or UNIcert II. The examination board may accept other certificates.

Accepted bachelor fields

Applicants need a bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS that corresponds to the GDCh recommendations for bachelor's chemistry programmes at universities. Other courses of study may be recognised as equivalent case by case.
