Sustainability and Circular Economy in Production | Summer School

Two-week English-medium summer school at RWTH Aachen University (5–18 July 2026) introducing students to sustainable and circular production systems. Topics include sustainable manufacturing processes, resource and energy efficiency, circular economy strategies, life cycle assessment, and digital technologies enabling sustainable production. Combines academic lectures with hands-on case studies, group work, and industrial use cases. Earns up to 3 ECTS. Accommodation and a social/excursion programme are included in the participation fee. RWTH Aachen is a NRW public university and charges no separate semester tuition for short courses of this kind; the all-inclusive participation fee covers course, accommodation, and accompanying programme.

B2 level English proficiency is expected. No formal test certificate or minimum score is required; self-assessment is accepted.

Accepted bachelor fields

Open to Bachelor's and Master's degree students. Students enrolled in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, industrial management, or related disciplines are especially encouraged. No prior specialisation is required.

Participation fee: 2,250 EUR (inclusive of course fees, accommodation, and accompanying/social programme). An early-bird discount of 335 EUR applies for applications submitted by 1 March. No separate non-EU tuition is charged; RWTH Aachen is a NRW public university and this standalone short course does not carry semester tuition.
