PhD in Computer Science

The structured PhD in Computer Science at RPTU gives doctoral students early access to research methods and guided research coursework, alongside skills in scientific writing, presentation, and project management. It is designed to shorten the path to independent dissertation work through early research integration.

English requirements

The official PhD in Computer Science page accepts TOEFL 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 80 internet-based, or IELTS 6.0.

German requirements

No knowledge of German is required. However, we recommend that students attend basic German courses offered by the university.

Requires an excellent bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
