Computer Science

Kiel University offers a Master's degree programme in Computer Science. Lectures are held in German as well as in English. We take care to offer programmes which can be studied with proof of knowledge in one of these languages. Our Master's programme is designed to give you high flexibility, so if you are interested in a specific module, you should contact the student adviser or the research adviser. As we do not expect you to choose the research adviser for your thesis right at the beginning of your Master's studies, it is possible to modify the programme even after you have started your Master's studies. However, it is recommended that you choose your research adviser by the beginning of the final year of your Master's studies.

Deadline: The application deadline for the summer semester is 15 January. The application deadline for the winter semester is 15 July.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.

English requirements

English language skills can be proven by: a proof of language proficiency at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or a GRE result with a score of at least 145 in Verbal Reasoning.
