Automotive Systems Engineering

Seven-semester bachelor's programme teaching the optimal interaction of mechanical and electronic components in vehicles, covering metrology, sensor technology, signal transmission, modelling and simulation, and vehicle safety and reliability.

Academic requirements

International applicants without a German university entrance qualification must submit their qualifications to the Studienkolleg – Center for International Students in Konstanz for equivalence examination. Applicants with a German university entrance qualification follow the normal application procedure.

Minimum GPA

No fixed minimum GPA is published on the current official programme page.

English requirements

IELTS min. 6.0, TOEFL iBT min. 79, TOEFL PBT min. 550, Cambridge CAE min. C, or Oxford Test of English at least 120 points and B2 in all modules.

German requirements

Applicants must prove basic German language skills (minimum A2, B1 recommended) by telc Deutsch A2–B1 or Goethe Certificate A2–B1. Before the beginning of the fifth semester, proof of a minimum of DSH-1, telc B2, or Goethe B2 is required.
