International Max Planck Research School for Molecules of Life (IMPRS-ML)

Structured doctoral programme in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, systems biology, and computational biology jointly training researchers in the molecular life sciences.

Academic requirements

Additional course load of 15 to 60 ECTS may be assigned. Qualifier examination in the first year for some university departments.

English requirements

Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL, or equivalent proof is accepted; if no formal test is available, applicants must describe their English skills in the application.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a strong previous degree in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a closely related field relevant to the molecular life sciences.
