Master of German Law (LLM)

This postgraduate LLM introduces international graduates in law to the foundations and application of German law. Students specialise in civil, criminal, or public law and complete the programme under close academic supervision.

English requirements

No separate English proof is published for this programme. The official page instead requires German at C1 level, for example DSH-2, TestDaF level 4 in all four parts, DSD II, Goethe-Zertifikat C2, UNIcert III or higher, or telc C1 Hochschule.

German requirements

Applicants must provide proof of their German skills at level C1: DSH-2 certificate (or higher); TestDaF level 4 in all four skill areas (or higher); Deutsches Sprachdiplom (German Language Diploma) of the Standing Conference of Education Ministers, level II (C1 level in all sub-sections); Goethe-Zertifikat C2; UNIcert certificate, level III (or higher); TELC C1 Hochschule
