China Business and Economics, Master of Science

This master's programme is designed for graduates of Chinese Studies who want to specialise in China's economy and business. It combines advanced China-specific content and Chinese business language with economics and business administration courses at the University of Würzburg.

Minimum GPA

The official application page states that applicants with grade 1.9 or better are directly admitted; applicants who meet the formal requirements but have a lower ranking grade are invited to an interview.

English requirements

The official application page requires English at least at B2 level. Accepted proof includes TOEFL 72 or higher, IELTS 6.0 or higher, Cambridge First Certificate in English, qualifying school-leaving certificates, or equivalent proof from prior education.

German requirements

International applicants must provide proof of their German skills at level B2 (DSH).

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a bachelor's degree in Chinese Studies, Sinology, or an equivalent qualification. The official application page also requires at least 40 ECTS in Modern Chinese, 30 ECTS in Chinese Studies, and proof of at least one study term in greater China with the required credits, or equivalent China-related qualifications clarified with the department.
