International Taxation and Public Finance

A research- and practice-oriented MSc combining international tax law, corporate taxation, public finance, econometrics, microeconomics, and data analysis. Teaching is bilingual in English and German, with an English-only study path available with limited electives.

Academic requirements

Letter of motivation stating skills, abilities, and interest.

Minimum GPA

Average grade of 2.9 or better on the German grading scale.

English requirements

English at B2 level. Official accepted proofs include TOEFL iBT 85, IELTS 6.5, Cambridge FCE grade B/C or FCE grade A, telc B2, UNIcert II, specified TOEIC scores, GMAT 430, GRE verbal 145 plus quantitative 147, 30 ECTS in English-taught modules within the EHEA, or other faculty-listed equivalents.

German requirements

Proof of German skills at minimum B1 level.

Accepted bachelor fields

Relevant bachelor's, diploma, or comparable degree with at least 140 ECTS at application time. Relevance requires at least 60 ECTS in economics courses plus 15 ECTS in quantitative methods for EU degrees, or 12 economics modules plus 4 quantitative-methods modules for non-EU degrees, supported by the faculty's relevance form.
