Doctoral Programme of the School of Business and Economics

Research-oriented doctoral pathway at FAU WiSo for independent research in business, economics, and the social sciences. Doctoral candidates work with a supervisor and complete the doctoral programme requirements alongside their dissertation.

Academic requirements

Must have passed final examinations; must be accepted by a supervisor.

Minimum GPA

Final grade of 2.5 or better.

German requirements

The respective supervisor will decide on language requirements in each individual case.

Accepted bachelor fields

Requires a master's degree, state examination, Diplom, or Magister in an economics and social science programme, plus at least 50 ECTS in economics and social sciences; up to 20 ECTS from other relevant disciplines may be credited.
