Applied Methods of Social Science Research (MA)

Two-semester English-taught master's programme equipping students with advanced methodological expertise in research design, data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data visualisation, and statistical techniques for independent social science research, particularly suited for PhD preparation.

Minimum GPA

Final grade of at least 2.7 (German grading system).

English requirements

English proficiency at least level C1 according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Programme taught entirely in English.

Accepted bachelor fields

Relevant Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or comparable degree with final grade of at least 2.7 (German system). Must have completed at least 10 ECTS in social science methods including at least 5 ECTS in quantitative methods and/or statistics.
