Nanoscience – Materials, Molecules and Cells

The Master’s degree programme enables a nanosciences specialisation in one of three fields: chemistry, biology, and physics. It is an interdisciplinary, research-oriented programme that facilitates close contact between research teams and students.

Academic requirements

Provisional admission possible if at least 150 ECTS credit points have been achieved in the Bachelor's and the degree is expected by the end of the first Master's semester. The applicant must not have failed a Master’s examination in a comparable subject and must not have already completed a comparable Master’s examination.

Minimum GPA

English requirements

English at level B2. Proof by eight years of English at school (first foreign language) or seven years (second foreign language), or IELTS (5.5 to 6.5) or comparable test.

Accepted bachelor fields

biology, chemistry, physics, material sciences, or a mathematics-natural sciences joint honours Bachelor's degree programme with a focus on biology, chemistry or physics, or another appropriate degree subject
