Forest and Ecosystem Sciences (FES)

Two-year MSc in Forest and Ecosystem Sciences with three study tracks: Ecosystem Analysis and Modelling, Ecosystem Sciences, and Tropical and International Forestry, focused on current challenges such as climate change, land-use change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable forest management.

English requirements

English at CEFR B2 or higher. Accepted proof includes UNIcert II, NULTE B2, Cambridge English Scale 160, IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL iBT 81, Pearson Academic 59, or successful completion of an English-language degree programme lasting at least three years. The faculty states this proof may be submitted after the application deadline but before travelling to Göttingen and is required for enrolment.

German requirements

It is not necessary to demonstrate adequate German language skills.

Accepted bachelor fields

Relevant bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS in a closely related subject. Subject relevance must be proven with at least 60 ECTS in Forestry or Environmental Sciences, Resource or Ecosystem Management, Life Sciences, or Applied Computer Sciences.
