Information and Communication Technology MSc

Interdisciplinary master's programme focused on information and communication technology and embedded systems at the interface of computer science and electrical engineering. Students can start in winter or summer semester and complete the degree full-time or part-time.

Engineering mathematics: linear algebra, complex analysis, linear differential equations, Fourier transform, Laplace transform, z-transform; Signals and Systems; Communications; Stochastic Processes; Digital Signal Processing: A.V. Schafer, Discrete-Time Signal Processing, 3rd edition, Prentice Hall, 2013; Software: MATLAB; Knowledge in fundamentals of algorithms and data structures; Knowledge in digital circuit design; Basic knowledge in programming languages, e.g., C.C++, Java

Minimum GPA

Minimum bachelor's grade of 2.5 in the German grading system.

English requirements

English at level B2 or equivalent proof. The DAAD-linked programme information lists TOEFL iBT 80, TOEFL CBT 210, TOEFL PBT 547, IELTS 6.0, or a medium-of-instruction certificate as accepted evidence.

German requirements

German language skills are not required.

Accepted bachelor fields

Bachelor's degree in ICT or a related subject such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology, Mechatronics, or Physics, plus the published prerequisite knowledge in engineering mathematics, signals and systems, communications, stochastic processes, digital signal processing, MATLAB, algorithms and data structures, digital circuit design, and programming.
